Private AI Home Assistant Setup in Las Vegas

Kotoh Home sets up private AI home assistants for Las Vegas homes remotely, built around the one thing a desert house can never fail at: keeping cool, especially while you are away.

Built for the Mojave summer

Las Vegas has a hot desert climate. Its official record high is 120°F, measured at Harry Reid International Airport on July 7, 2024, and in the peak of summer overnight lows often stay above 80°F. The record warm low is 95°F. Rain is scarce, about 4.2 inches a year, but the North American Monsoon can bring thunderstorms, lightning and brief heavy rain in July and August.

In a climate like that, the air conditioner is not a comfort feature. A unit that fails on a July afternoon while you're out of town is the scenario Las Vegas homeowners worry about most, along with pets and older relatives at home in the heat.

The city averages about 310 sunny days a year, and summer nights are often 30°F or more cooler than the afternoon peak. A good cooling routine uses that swing: cool the house hard in the early morning, then let it coast through the hottest hours with shades closed.

What we set up for a Las Vegas home

  • AC failure alerts. Temperature sensors in key rooms and a rule that texts you when the house warms past your limit, or when the system runs but can't keep up.
  • Smart cooling. Pre-cooling in the morning while outdoor air is coolest, shades closed on sun-facing glass, and higher setpoints when nobody's home.
  • Monsoon checks. Leak sensors near windows, doors and the water heater, plus a post-storm rundown: any water detected, doors open and current temperatures.
  • Away mode for second homes. Lights on a schedule, a heat-safe setpoint, scheduled entry codes for cleaners or pool service, and a weekly status text. More on this in second-home monitoring.

How we set it up from a distance

Private Cloud is set up remotely in Las Vegas. After a free video walk-through, we configure your hub with your rooms, people and routines and ship it to you. You plug it into your router, and we spend a video call together connecting your accounts and the compatible thermostats, locks and switches you already have.

Anything new, such as temperature sensors, smart shades or a leak shutoff, comes with a parts list and placement plan for your own installer, or as a travel install we quote. Private Home, with a dedicated AI computer in the house, is always a travel install.

Private by design

Private Cloud runs an open-source AI model on a private server we operate for you in a U.S. data center. No conversation logs are kept, and nothing goes to OpenAI, Google or Amazon. Private Home keeps all of it inside your house. The local hub runs your heat and leak rules either way, so they keep working even if your internet connection drops.

Good fits in Las Vegas

Remote setup is a natural fit for Las Vegas because so many homes are relatively new and already have smart thermostats, video doorbells or app-controlled pool equipment. If yours does, we can often have the assistant useful on the first video call. It's also a good fit for owners who spend part of the year elsewhere and want to know the house is cool, dry and locked without asking a neighbor to check. If you have a pool, tell us about the equipment during the walk-through; many systems can report pump and heater status to the hub. You'll get a written plan and a fixed price before anything ships.

Prices for Las Vegas

Common questions

Can it tell me if my air conditioner fails while I'm traveling?

Yes. That's one of the most useful things it does here. It watches indoor temperature room by room and texts you when the house warms past a limit you set, so you can call for service before the house gets dangerously hot.

Is it useful in a second home or rental?

Yes. It can run away mode, watch for leaks and heat problems, and let a cleaner or property manager in on a schedule without sharing your main code.

Do you have a team in Las Vegas?

No. We set up Private Cloud remotely: we ship you a pre-configured hub, you plug it into your router, and we connect your accounts and compatible devices with you over a video call. Private Home and Estate projects in Las Vegas are travel installs, where we fly in for install day.

What does it cost in Las Vegas?
